Statement of Lynda H. Peterson
As Lay Member of the North Georgia Annual Conference, and Lay Leader of my local congregation of Cumberland United Methodist Church, I support the effort for peace in the name of the one who taught us the Way. I believe as followers of Jesus Christ, we should set the example of love by supporting the efforts of local people to build their churches, schools, hospitals, homes and businesses, rather than by destroying lives and property.
